Few days ago, I saw a news “ One engineer was knocked down by the robot”. Luckily was only slightly injured. This is not the first news we’ve ever heard about robot “hurt” humans. Robots are not emotional, they don’t have feelings and eyes, they can only work via following the software program set by human beings. So if you became a “obstacle”, you will be knocked down.

This kind of safety issues also happen while using take out robots, but if we be careful, safety issues can be prevented.

How to prevent being knocked down by a take out robot? The following tips will help you:

  1. Stay away from the working area of a robot. Factories should mark down the working area of the machine and robot. While a take out robot is being tested or working with an injection molding machine, workers should stay away from this area.
  2. Factories can make a wire-netting to surround the machine and robot. The wire-netting  should have enough space so that it can surround not only the robot but also it’s working area. Workers can not enter into the wire-netting.
  3. Train the worker and make sure he can only use the robot after gained all the knowledge about the take out robot. New workers who haven’t attend training can not touch robot.

Turn off the take out robot when need to repair or adjust it.
